Just a few days back, the happiest, most giggly baby I’ve ever met turned five months old. Since my last update, we had a couple of rough weeks, in which I feared that this dude’s demeanor was completely turning on me, but alas, his calm, easy-going attitude abides. Townes is wonderful for a lot of reasons, but here are my top three:
1) You look at him, and he will smile at minimum, but often give you a big, hearty, belly laugh that rocks his entire body.
2) He will hang out in his bouncer, oh so patiently, and play with toys for the entire time it takes me to cook dinner.
3) He sleeps.
I really hope that every person in the whole world who has a baby gets to experience the pleasure of a baby like this one. In the past two months, we’ve seen a lot of attempts at rolling, a couple of successful attempts, lots of reaching for objects to play, a row of bottom teeth still hiding under the gums, and what just might be red head baby hair 2.0. And the babbling. Oh, the endless babbling. Anytime we get in the car, he talks the entire time.
